Baby Shark
3 Months- 2 Years Old
Baby Shark is a year-round group program that gets parents in the water with their child as early as 3 months old. The purpose of this course is to familiarize your infant and toddler with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. This course primarily focuses on early water awareness, as it develops your child’s motor skills and muscle memory. Basic skills that are taught include: #WaterAwareness, floating, reaching for walls, flipping and breathing. The greatest gift offered by the Baby Shark program is the bonding experience that parents get to spend with their child while learning life saving lessons.
Private Lessons
2 Years Old and Up
Private lessons are an extension of the Baby Sharks program. These lessons include one-on-one time with a skilled Desert Swim Academy instructor. Benefits from private lessons allow quicker progress to be seen in the child’s ability to swim. Private swim lessons are the most effective way to develop water safety skills and becoming more confident in the water without the use of a life jacket. This course essentially teaches your child how to swim! These lessons are individually designed and taught on a one-on-one basis in the comfort of your own home.
Adult Swim Lessons
Adults need swim lessons too! Our program at Desert Swim Academy gives all adult swimmers, at every level the opportunity to improve their skills in a safe environment. Adult swim lessons are for individuals who wish to learn to swim, or for those who want to improve their technique. At Desert Swim Academy, we want all adults to learn at your own pace and to have confidence around any body of water, whether it is a pool, lake, or ocean. Remember, it is never too late to swim.
Lifeguard Services
No pool should go unwatched while others are around it. Having certified lifeguards around the pool ensures a safe environment where everyone can have fun and be safe and give you peace-of-mind. All of our lifeguards are certified in CPR and first aid and are available for private parties, events, and more.
Special Needs Swim Lessons
Raising a child with special needs is a challenge itself. Learning to swim represents another test, but one that must be overcome especially since 91% of deaths in autistic children are from drowning. At Desert Swim Academy, we would like to reduce that number drastically. Desert Swim Academy campaigns in support of Autism Awareness and we want to spread this life saving skill to all children. Autistic children observe, feel and comprehend things in a different way, so our flexible teaching techniques will support your child to create an enjoyable lesson. We love bringing swimming to the lives of children with special needs and Desert Swim Academy is open to all children.
